Browers Beer Ato Festival: Beer Culture Celebrated in the Heart of Beat
This year, the festival, organized by The Browers Company, expanded beyond the square in front of the Browers Beato building and also took over the interior of the space, giving the public the chance to explore the brewery where Browers brand beers are produced.
On July 18 and 19, the event offered a true beer experience, accompanied by performances from various artists and DJs. In total, 12 microbreweries were represented, with more than 50 different beers. Alongside Browers beers, the event featured brews from Dois Corvos, Fermentage, Hopsin Brewery, Lispoa Craft Beer, Lupum, Mean Sardine, Musa, Oitava Colina, Praxis, Rima, and DCN Beers.
In addition to the beer experience, the event offered a diverse gastronomic selection, including traditional Portuguese snacks, the famous cachorrinho do Beato (Beato-style hot dog), prego da vazia (beef steak sandwich), and two types of burgers – beef and plant-based. The artistic lineup was curated by CTL – Cultural Trend Lisbon and featured performances by Sea Angels, Doce da Casa, Silly Boy Blue, and Nunca Mates o Mandarim.
The program also included a Meet the Brewer session – an informal talk with guest brewers – and the launch of a new beer with true Lisbon spirit, the Lisbon Crispy Lager, during a Meet the Beer session. For families, the event once again offered a Kids Space for children aged 3 to 12, with various activities run by Magnolia Method.
Browers Beato is the first brewery of The Browers Company and opened to the public last November. Located in the former Power Station of the now-defunct Lisbon Military Maintenance, the multifunctional space was renovated through a project by architects Eduardo Souto de Moura and Nuno Graça Moura. The project was awarded the 2025 National Urban Rehabilitation Prize in the category of “Best Intervention Under 1,000 m² – Commerce and Services”.
