Super Bock Coruja pays a drink to culture
Super Bock Coruja has launched the initiative “Paga um Copo à Cultura”, an open call to support urban culture at a time when many creative spaces are facing challenges. Developed in partnership with Maus Hábitos, a cultural intervention space in Porto, and Coffeepaste, a platform connecting artistic talent with opportunities, the brand has selected three cultural associations and collectives that will receive support of up to €3,000.
The three projects supported by Super Bock Coruja are: Associação Cultural Nêga Filmes, whose mission is to promote narratives and artistic practices from Black and peripheral perspectives, while also serving as a space for employment and training in the audiovisual sector; Penhasco Arte Cooperativa, a cultural cooperative that promotes cultural events, residencies, rehearsals, and community and educational activities with a strong social and collaborative focus; and XX Element Project – Associação Cultural, a cultural association developing civic and social projects focused on gender equality and female representation in the arts, using cinema, photography, theater, and literature as tools for reflection and social transformation.
Each of the three selected associations will receive €2,000 in direct support. But the support doesn’t stop there: in collaboration with each winner, Maus Hábitos, together with the winners and the brand, will organize a special party where, for each Super Bock Coruja sold, an additional €5 will be donated to the project, up to a maximum of €1,000 extra.
The parties will take place in the first weeks of December at cultural spaces across the country: December 5 at Bang Venue for Nêga Filmes, December 6 at GrETUA for XX Element, and December 12 at Bang Venue for Penhasco.
With this initiative, Super Bock Coruja, the No.1 IPA in Portugal, once again reaffirms its role as a brand supporting urban culture, bringing the free spirit of its beer to the causes that keep art alive — on the streets, on stages, and in cities.
